IMPERIAL GERMAN NAVY OFFICERS BELT BUCKLE SIZES….. ( THERE ARE QUITE A FEW).
Shown above are a range of the Kaiserlich Marine Officers buckles They range through 40mm , 50mm, and 60 mm ( there is rumoured to be a 65mm buckle but I have never seen one ) . The vast majority are actually cast metal but a very small number are stamped. When buying a Naval buckle always enquire of the seller the diameter of the buckle excluding the belt catch. I have been caught by surprise to receive a Kaiserlich Marine buckle which was a very small under the tunic type when I was expecting a large type !!! They all look very similar in close up in photographs . So make sure you ask for the buckles overall size before you buy.

THIS BUCKLE ( SORRY PIECE OF JUNK) HAS BEEN ADVERTISED ON EBAY. .... IF YOU SEE IT KEEP AWAY FROM IT ...IT IS THE WORST COPY OF THIS BUCKLE I HAVE SEEN ... DREADFUL I PAID £66 FOR IT IN 2015 ......IT IS PROBABLY WORTH 6 EUROS .... THE SALE IS FROM PARIS, FRANCE...... IT IS A COMPLETE CON. and still around . .... COMPLETELY DISGUSTING and badly made and put together again Ebay were useless .The crook is still selling them. ..Reminds me of the FRENCH Cladding they sold the UK totally fraudulent
They are now appearing on. ( 5th Dec 2023.) BRITISH EBAY look for the two perfectly round studs at the back of the buckle
