These are 3D stereoscopic cards with a metal viewer. 3D albums have a long history but the Germans in particular were very keen on them. They range in content from city and rural themes to the Nazi rallies and the Wehrmacht. They do provide a remarkable insite into the period and some of the 3D effects are breathtaking. ( even my wife thinks so !! )
