Extremely rare Napoleonic Period Saxon cavalry Officers sword sanger Silver wire covered leather hanging straps with Saxon green stripe to the centre of each strap. Mounted brass ( were probably originally gilded) Leather suspension straps to the rear with brass hangers in the original early configuration. Top hanging bar with its brass connecting piece. This sword hanger came with the above sword and I would prefer not to separate them .. A pair of extremely rare sword hanging straps of this early period of the Napoleonic Saxon army.. Extremely rare / hughly rare, much rarer than period swords.

The dagger had wrapped round it TWO lengths of the Battle Cruisers naval cap bands (t allies ) one in gold lettering S.M.S. VON DER TANN almost full length ( 44 inches or 1m120mmnow fading also with a silver wire version also with… SMS VON DER TANN. This one has a few tears and is a shorter length. (approx 22 inches or 560mm I would prefer to keep them together.. 2250

S D. 16 WW2 NAZI GERMAN LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS' DAGGER WITH DAMASCUS BLADE
An early Luftwaffe Officers dagger , 25cm blade in excellent undamaged condition with unmarked blade ( some marking on the tang ) showing a maiden hair pattern ( I think ) steel blade This blade also passes the thumbnail test, the damask pattern is easy to feel. Standard Luftwaffe dark grey / brown scabbard in super condition with oak leaf binding hanging bands. . Deep Orange cellulose handle with silver wire binding, no cracking whatever, with silvered swastika pommel ( polished aluminium), brown leather buffer pad. In excellent condition with no damage to the finish, all of its silver finish remaining ( although in the pics they appear grey. they are actually bright silver in colour ! ) and with an excellent patina and complete. The straps have ASSMANN marks on them. The Luftwaffe eagle cross piece is in superb condition. In very good / excellent condition. Indeed the dagger is excellent throughout . A good quality rare damascus bladed dagger complete with its Hanging straps ( Luxus' form ) and its portpee knot.
