Very rare original Jager Zu Pferd officers Schirmmutz sometimes referred to a ''Summer '' type also known as the prewar form for ''Dunkel Blau'' uniform. Also mentioned as a guard unit Jaeger zu Pferd regiment cap This piece is in excellent condition. In the 1910 high saucer form. White melton material crown, green capband all piped in yellow.Lining to crown is cream coloured silk in very worn condition. Light tan leather liner sweatband shows wear as does quite worn cream underside of peak. Officers Reich and Prussiancockades . An extremely rare cap in good condition, excellent colour, though the white melton crown is quite dusty An extremely rare cap……..

C. 4 PRUSSIAN NCOS PEAKED CAP Of THE 66th INFANTRY REGIMENT (MAGDEBURG )
Good original Infantry NCO's walking out peaked cap probably from around 1910. The Schirmmutz has officers type construction with cross hatched rear to the peak. Tan leather sweat band and what looks like a waterproof light canvas type lining. A typical ''Dunkel Blau'' cap with a blue crown a red cap band and piping to both the crown and top of cap band. The lining has a just about readable tailors Magdeburg address stamped to the inside crown of the cap and a paper label to " Gebhardt 8th comp 3 Magdeburg Inf Rgt .66." The cloth appears to be of Melton quality throughout The cap comes with its two Cockades. The upper for the Reich and the lower for the state of Magdeburg which is in the single colour of plain green ( which is a very rare example ) The standard Prussian black & white cockade were adopted later. One moth bite to the crown and moth tracking sadly all over the place The shape and form of the cap displays very well….It is a super looking little cap. Not rare but with the full data on the owner it is a fine researchable example..

C. 14. SAXON KARABINEER REGIMENT HEAVY CAVALRY RESERVE OFFICERS / NCO'S CAP
Classic Saxon carabineer Regiment cap. Mid blue crown with black cap band and white piping to the crown and top of band,.But with red cap colour piping to the base of the cap band.... Both Saxon Officers quality Reichs cap cockades present.. Brown maker marked linen lining with brown sweat band and brown under peak .One or two tiny moth holes to the top of the cap.(but cannot be seen on display) Otherwise excellent condition .Another extremely scarce cap..The cap was manufactured in Hessen which is unusual but not that unusual

I have since been informed by a major German dealer that this is a Saxon Karabineer Regiment reserve NCO's peaked cap but I can find no details !

Mid blue crown with white piping Bright red cap band with white upper and lower piping. Good cavalry form this is a cap of officers melton cloth construction and quality. Exterior of cap cloth in not bad good condition .. with one or two minor moth bites and damage ( see photo ) Officers ’s Reich and Prussian cockades. Interior shows fair wear with very well worn light brownish leather sweatband. Watered silk lining in mint condition possibly a renewal . with an original tan lining and mint tan underside of peak. A good looking officers cap of very good quality construction.. Thus the price due to the silk lining.

A Wurtemberg Officers / NCO.s very fine quality walking out cap in overall near excellent condition. Dark blue crown with red piping and black cap cloth cap band with red piping to top and bottom. The black cap band has a stain on it which I cannot define, but looks like candle wax, see the picture. Officers style Cream satin to crown, somewhat stained. Cream canvas sweat band With cream lining and underside to peak . Very good shape and 100% original, not a rare cap but this one is in fine condition. Some moth tracking to the crown and some very tiny moth holes here and there which do not detract from displaying the cap. The hole to the side of the Wurttemberg cockade is not moth ) The cap is in very good overall condition .

With cream underside to peak which is in poor condition Indeed the interior of cap does show wear, but no damage. Prussian Officers' cap of good classic shape . The exterior of the cap shows 2 or 3 TINY moth holes and the surface has light moth tracking here and there but this does not distract from its display. A 100% original officers cap of superior manufacture and quality not a rare cap but this one is in very collectable condition. Super display cap.

C. 22 BAVARIAN 1930"s BORDER GUARD / POLICE OR / NCO CONTROL CAP.
A Bavarian cap in good condition. Dark forrest green crown with Bordeau red piping to the crown and to the top and bottom of the cap band. Pale grey (now light brown) cloth / satin ? lining to crown. Pale grey leather sweat band bright white underside to peak. Has a black canvas chin strap and a Bavarian State cockade Also has the Weimar badge to above the cockade, this is a nice little badge with the little eagle being a separately applied piece .A little sun bleaching has left darker areas behind the badges and chin strap which probably indicates the length of time the badges were applied to the cap. No moth holes, a very very minor tracking to the rear of the cap does not at all detract from display. .
